As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in keeping our practice running smoothly. You will work across both of our practice sites: Wakefield Gardens Surgery in Ainslie and The Surgery on Manuka Terrace in Manuka.

Shifts are rostered Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.00pm, and Saturday 8.00am to *****pm on a casual basis, with flexibility to cover both sites as needed. This would include covering annual leave and short notice sick leave.

We're looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team, working across both of our practice sites:

The Surgery, Manuka Terrace — Manuka

Availability required

Monday to Friday, between 7.30am and 6.00pm

About the role
n
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in keeping our practice running smoothly. Day‐to‐day responsibilities include:
n
n
Greeting patients and visitors, and managing check‐in at reception
n
Answering and directing phone calls
n




Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
n
Processing payments, invoices and Medicare/health fund claims
n
Managing patient records and correspondence with accuracy and confidentiality
n
Liaising with GPs, nurses and other staff to support daily clinic operations
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience is preferred, but not essential — training will be provided
n
Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional manner with patients
n
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
n
Comfortable using practice management and Medicare software (or willing to learn)
n
Reliable, punctual and able to work the required roster across both sites
n
