ProQuest Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing Australian manufacturing and engineering business to recruit an experienced CAD Draftsperson.
n
This is an exciting prospect to join a specialised organisation that designs and manufactures custom technical solutions for a diverse range of industries. Working closely with Sales, Projects, Manufacturing and Purchasing teams, you'll play a critical role in turning concepts into accurate drawings, manufacturing documentation and practical design solutions.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, models and CNC cutting files to support customer approvals, project delivery and manufacturing outcomes.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Preparing sales and project drawings for client approval
n
Developing fabrication, assembly and component drawings
n
Creating Bills of Materials and CNC cutting files
n
Supporting product design activities with a focus on practical and manufacturable solutions
n
Assisting project engineering activities, including site measurements, layouts and take-offs
n
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve design and drafting challenges
n
Maintaining drawing revisions and documentation in accordance with company procedures
n




Delivering accurate work within agreed project deadlines
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Previous experience as a CAD Draftsperson, Design Draftsperson or similar role within manufacturing
n
Strong experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Revit
n
Demonstrated ability to produce detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings
n
A sound understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and fabrication requirements
n
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
n
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop experience
n
Exposure to sheet metal, plastics fabrication, HVAC, fume handling or related technical manufacturing environments
n
Experience preparing CNC cutting files
n
Experience supporting installation drawings and site-based project requirements
n
n
