About the Role: (Thursday and Saturday Permanent Part Time)

As a Lifestyle Carer at Mary Andrews Village in South Hurstville, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will work closely with our residents to develop and implement individual lifestyle plans that support their personal interests, abilities, and goals. Your compassionate and patient approach will help create a warm and welcoming workplace where residents feel valued and cared for.

Essential Requirements

n
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification or,
n
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services.
n
All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
n
NDIS Screening Check Clearance
n
n
About You
n
n
Experience in aged care or disability support is highly desirable.
n
A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
n
Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and implement lifestyle programs tailored to the needs and preferences of residents.
n
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement.
n
Encourage and support residents to participate in recreational and leisure activities.
n
Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
n
Collaborate with the broader care team to provide holistic support to residents.
n
Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
n
