Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Critical Infrastructure)
n Location: North Sydney (Hybrid: 3 days in office)
n Compensation: $135k - $170k base + Super + 7-10% Bonus
n
About the Role:
n We're looking for a hands-on technical expert to lead resilient power infrastructure design and operations for a key client in the critical infrastructure sector. If you thrive on advanced troubleshooting and mentoring engineering teams, let's talk.

In this role, you'll lead advanced troubleshooting, provide design authority support, and mentor our engineering team, ensuring the absolute reliability of the network's standby power and mains supply.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Design & Standards: Produce high-quality engineering design packages and peer-review submissions, ensuring full alignment with AS/NZS **** and Design Authority standards.
n
Operational Support: Act as the primary escalation point for faults. Lead root-cause analysis across UPS, generators, ATS, switchboards, and control systems.
n
Mentorship: Provide leadership to the team, helping develop less experienced engineers and fostering a cooperative, knowledge-sharing environment.
n
Documentation: Prepare robust technical specifications, design records,
and reports.
n
n
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves):
n
n
Degree: Electrical Engineering.
n
Technical Expertise: Strong LV electrical background (non-HV) with expert-level knowledge of AS/NZS ****.
n
Hands-on Experience: Proven track record with UPS, generators, ATS, switchboards, and power/control systems.
n
Troubleshooting: Expert-level fault-finding capability in live/critical environments.
n
Mindset: Calm under pressure, accountable, and collaborative. We value a "non-ego" team player who thrives in a flat, transparent structure.
n
Capability: Ability to travel to sites across Australia (approx. *****%).
n

Nice-to-Haves:

Trade background (e.g., Electrician).
n
Experience in critical environments (Data Centres, Utilities, Telecoms).
n
RPEQ/Chartered status (or working towards).
n
Proficiency in AutoCAD/PowerCAD.
