Lead the delivery of Australia's Defence capability
n
Shadbolt Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Defence team in South Australia.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project leader to take ownership of complex Defence projects, lead high-performing teams and build strong relationships with Defence Primes, Commonwealth representatives, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
n
You will play a key role in delivering Shadbolt's Defence projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
n
About The Role
n
Reporting to the Manager, Defence (SA), you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and successful delivery of Shadbolt's Defence projects.
n
Key Responsibilities Include
n
n
Lead the safe and successful delivery of contracted project scopes.
n
Plan, coordinate and oversee site-based project activities.
n
Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and performance.
n
Lead and develop Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Leading Hands and project personnel.
n
Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers, plant and equipment.
n
Manage client and stakeholder relationships, including Defence Prime Contractors and Commonwealth representatives.
n
Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, procurement and variations.
n
Ensure projects meet contractual, Defence, HSEQ and quality requirements.
n
Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain project delivery.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement, tendering and business development opportunities.
n

About you
n
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Defence, engineering, construction, infrastructure or industrial project delivery.
n
To Be Successful,
You Will Have
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
n
Minimum 8 years' experience managing complex projects.
n
Demonstrated experience delivering site-based projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
n
Experience working with Defence Prime Contractors or major Defence, government or industrial projects.
n
Strong commercial and contract management capability.
n
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
Sound understanding of Australian WHS and HSEQ requirements.
n
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Defence Security Clearance.
n
n
Experience working within secure Defence environments and knowledge of DISP and Commonwealth contracting frameworks will be highly regarded.
n
