We are seeking an experienced Café Manager to join our team and oversee the café's day-to-day operations, deliver exceptional customer experience, and maintain high standards of service and team performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on ensuring efficient, smooth, and professional operations.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure efficient and smooth service.
n
Working with Director and chef on developing menus that enhance customer experience and promote business growth.
n
Recruiting, training and supervising employees, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service.
n
Preparing staff rosters and coordinating staffing levels to meet operational requirements during trading hours.
n
Planning and implementing promotional activities and seasonal menu offerings to enhance customer experience and support sales growth.
n
Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation, consistent quality and timely service of customer orders.
n
Arranging the purchasing of food, beverages and other supplies in accordance with operational requirements and budgets.

Monitoring stock levels, managing inventory and implementing appropriate stock rotation and control procedures to minimise waste.
n
Managing operational budgets, monitoring costs and contributing to the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
n
Preparing daily cash reconciliations, overseeing point-of-sale (POS) operations and maintaining accurate financial records.
n
Delivering outstanding customer service, handling customer feedback professionally and resolving issues promptly.
n
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety regulations.
n
Maintaining a clean, functional, and aesthetically pleasing dining environment.
n

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
n
n
An AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field, undertaken and completed in Australia.
n
A minimum of one year of full-time relevant experience in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
n
Excellent leadership, team management and staff development skills.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
n
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Robust organizational and time management skills.
n
The ability to multitask, work under pressure and effectively manage a busy hospitality environment.
n
