About the Role
n
This position combines responsibilities within both our kitchen and educational environments.
n
Working closely with the Centre Chef, you will:
n
Assist with the preparation and cooking of fresh meals daily, including morning tea,
lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snacks.
n
Support the management of children's dietary, allergy and anaphylaxis requirements.
n
Ensure secure food handling practices are maintained at all times.
n
Support the service's nutrition, food safety and kitchen hygiene policies.
n
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
n
Complete kitchen cleaning and dishwashing duties.
n
Provide kitchen leadership and independently manage kitchen operations when the Chef is absent.
n
Prepare and serve meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines and food safety standards.
n
Early Childhood Responsibilities
n
You will also:

Support our Lead Guides and Educators in providing high-quality learning experiences.
n
Assist in creating engaging, inclusive and nurturing learning environments for children.
n
Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
n
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in daily operations.

Support the implementation of educational programs and daily routines.
n
Skills & Requirements
n
Must have a minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards your qualification.
n
Must have a current and valid Working with Children's Check (blue card)
n
Must hold a current Senior First Aid, CPR & Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
n
Have a goodunderstanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
n
