Located near Cloncurry in North West Queensland, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise forms an important part of AIC Mines' growth strategy.

About the Position
n
We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our Maintenance Department, carrying out repairs and fabrication work across our fixed processing plant and underground mobile mining equipment.
n
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you will work closely with mining and maintenance personnel to optimise equipment availability and ensure asset management work is completed safely and effectively.
n
Core role requirements include:

Heavy welding
n
Interpreting engineering drawings and following quality procedures
n
Custom metal fabrication
n
Structural and fabrication repairs
n
MIG, TIG and Stick welding
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out welding, fabrication and repair work on fixed processing plant and underground mobile mining equipment.
n
Complete planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance activities in a safe and timely manner.
n
Inspect equipment and components to identify defects, wear and damage, recommending appropriate repairs.
n
Interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components to required specifications and quality standards.
n
Work collaboratively with maintenance and operational teams to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
n
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures, statutory requirements and company standards.
n
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
n
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and maintenance practices.
n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times.
n
n
The position is FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane on a ***** day shift roster.
n

Accommodation and meals are provided onsite at Eloise Copper Mine, approximately 65 kilometres from Cloncurry.

About You
n
To be successful in this position, you will have:
n
n
A Boilermaker trade certificate.
n
At least three years' boilermaker experience.
n
Previous experience working on mine sites or in remote locations.
n
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance.
n
A strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.
n
A neat and tidy approach, with pride in the quality of your work.
n
A proactive, practical and self-motivated approach to your duties.
n
