An established and growing food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide practical, hands-on human resources leadership across a dynamic, shift-based workforce.
n
This is a key standalone role supporting the CEO and management team to strengthen people systems, improve workforce capability, manage employee relations matters and ensure employment compliance across the business.
n
Working three days per week, the successful candidate will be a visible and trusted advisor who enjoys balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.
n
About the Role
n
This position offers a broad generalist HR remit, including:
n
n
Providing practical advice and coaching to managers on performance, conduct, attendance, grievances and workplace behaviour.
n
Managing investigations, disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.
n
Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and probation processes.
n
Maintaining employment contracts, employee records, position descriptions and HR documentation.
n
Ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace obligations.
n
Managing visa and work rights compliance, including VEVO monitoring and reporting.
n
Supporting WorkCover and return-to-work processes.
n
Developing leadership capability through coaching and people management training.
n
Analysing workforce trends and providing monthly HR reporting to the CEO.

What You'll Bring
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
n
Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, food production, warehousing or other shift-based environments.
n
Proven experience managing performance, misconduct, grievances, investigations and termination processes.
n
Sound knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Contemporary Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
n
Experience managing WorkCover and return-to-work matters.
n
Exceptional communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
n
n
