The Role
n
We are seeking an Exploration Geologist to join the Mt Gibson team on a 2:2 roster.
n
Reporting to the Exploration Manager whilst working closely with Project Exploration Geologists, you will assist in the planning and execution of exploration programs and provide technical support across:
n
Supervision of AC, RC and diamond drill programs (including data capture, entry, QA/QC and validation)
n
Design, coordination and implementation of mapping, surface sampling and drill programs
n
Analysis and interpretation of drilling results and generation of new targets
n
Validation and interrogation of historical data
n
Mentoring and supervision of Field Assistants
n
About You
n
Bachelor's degree in Science (Geology major) from a recognised tertiary institution
n




Genuine enthusiasm for geology and discovery
n
Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience preferred
n
Drill program experience (supervision, logging, data validation and database management – Diamond, RC, AC)
n
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
n
Full C Class manual driver's licence (Mandatory)
n
4WD experience (well regarded)
n
Experience with geological and GIS software well regarded
n
Senior First Aid and remote-area competency (highly regarded)
n
