About My Occ Health Record
n
My Occ Health Record (MOHR) is an Australian-owned health-tech company transforming how high-risk industries manage the health and safety of their workforces.
n
Its cloud-based occupational health platform connects health data across the entire employee lifecycle—from pre-employment assessments and health surveillance through to injury management, occupational hygiene and employee wellbeing.
n
The platform currently supports more than 440,000 employee health records, 3.9 million live data points and over 1,000 clinical users.
n
Purpose-built with occupational-health specialists, MOHR helps employers centralise sensitive health information, automate compliance processes and use real-time data to make better decisions for their people.
n
The opportunity
n
MOHR is looking for an automation-focused QA Engineer to join its growing Engineering team.
n
Initially, you'll take ownership of testing across a complex federal government integration project involving six connected systems and a large customer-side testing function.
n
You'll work across system integration testing, UAT, APIs, end-to-end workflows and release readiness, ensuring MOHR's platform works reliably within a much broader technology ecosystem.
n
However, this role is bigger than one project.
n
MOHR currently has an offshore QA team and approximately a ***** split between manual and automated testing. You'll become its dedicated onshore QA specialist, helping shift the organisation toward an automation-first quality model.
n
For the right person, this is an opportunity to shape QA practices, increase automated test coverage and establish greater quality ownership throughout the development lifecycle.
n
Why this role is impactful
n
The platform manages highly sensitive occupational-health information used to help organisations protect their people, meet compliance obligations and identify workplace health risks.
n
A failed integration or incorrect workflow isn't simply a frustrating software defect—it can affect the accuracy, accessibility and movement of important workforce-health data.
n
Your work will directly influence:
n
n
The quality of a major federal government technology project
n
The reliability of integrations across multiple connected systems
n
MOHR's ability to release software confidently and efficiently
n
The transition from manual testing toward scalable automation
n
How early quality and testability are considered during product development
n
The long-term development of MOHR's onshore QA capability
n
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Design, write and execute automated and manual tests across MOHR's web-based SaaS platform
n
Test APIs, third-party integrations, data flows and end-to-end workflows
n
Own testing activities across SIT, UAT, regression and release cycles
n
Build and maintain reliable, scalable automated test coverage
n
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
n
Reproduce, document and track defects through to resolution
n
Work with Product and Engineering during discovery and refinement to identify edge cases before development begins
n
Define test plans, quality criteria and release-readiness requirements
n
Collaborate with MOHR's offshore QA team and development teams
n
Liaise with government-side testing stakeholders
n
Help introduce stronger QA processes, documentation and release governance
n
Explore practical ways AI can accelerate test creation, maintenance and coverage
n
n
What MOHR is looking for
n
You'll be an experienced QA Engineer who is technically strong, automation-first and still comfortable performing thoughtful manual and exploratory testing where required.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Solid hands-on test automation experience
n
The ability to write and maintain high-quality automation codeExperience testing APIs and integration-heavy systems
n
Knowledge of API testing tools and automation frameworks
n
Experience with functional, regression, exploratory and end-to-end testing
n
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates
n
Experience participating in SIT, UAT or complex enterprise releases
n
Strong defect investigation and troubleshooting skills
n
The confidence to challenge unclear requirements and identify edge cases early
n
Clear communication with engineers, product teams and non-technical stakeholders
n
The ability to work autonomously and take genuine ownership of software quality
n
n
Nice to have
n
n
Experience working on government or regulated technology projects
n
Testing experience within health-tech or another sensitive-data environment
n
Performance or load-testing experience
n
Understanding of security-testing fundamentals
n
Experience collaborating with offshore development or QA teams
n
Practical examples of using AI to improve test automation
n
Experience helping establish or mature an internal QA practice li>
n
Existing government security clearance
n
n
This role offers the chance to:
n
n
Become MOHR's dedicated onshore QA specialist
n
Build and influence a capability rather than simply inherit a finished process
n
Work on a technically complex, integration-heavy government project
n
Introduce quality earlier across discovery, refinement and development
n
Help modernise testing through automation and AI
n
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Support and customer stakeholders
n
Make an immediate contribution within a smaller environment where your work will be visible
n
Apply your technical skills to software designed to improve workplace health and safety
n
n
MOHR combines the purpose and complexity of health technology with the autonomy and influence of a growing Australian software company.
n
Because this role will initially support a federal government project, applicants must be Australian citizens and willing and eligible to undergo the required government security-clearance process.
