Assistant Coordinator - Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

North Lakes State College P&C; is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team.
n

n
As an Assistant Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day delivery and management of our OSHC program while helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children can learn, play and thrive.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Assist with the day-to-day management and delivery of the OSHC program.
n
Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, attendance and bookings.
n
Support compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF) and P&C; policies.
n
Assist with regular risk assessments and safety checks of facilities and equipment.
n
Assist with staff inductions, training and performance monitoring.
n
Support staff compliance with WHS requirements, incident reporting and required documentation.
n
Develop and implement support plans for children with additional needs.
n
Build respectful, positive and professional relationships with children, families, colleagues and the school community.
n
Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and child-focused environment.
n
Assist with problem-solving and responding effectively to the changing needs of the service.
n
What We're Looking For
n
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and can demonstrate:
n
Experience in OSHC or childcare coordination, including staff supervision.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in a busy, dynamic environment.
n
Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
A genuine interest in supporting children's wellbeing, development and inclusion.
n
A positive, proactive and team-oriented approach.
n
The ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and the school community.
n
Required Qualifications & Checks
n
Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain:
n
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within the first 12 months.
n
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
n
First Aid in Education and Care – HLTAID012, or willingness to obtain.
n
Current CPR certification.
n
Anaphylaxis management training.
n
Child protection training, or willingness to complete.
n
