Mandurah Coast Care Community is located in the coastal town of Mandurah, and our 53-bed light-filled home is conveniently located to take in the amenities of the regional centre. Set amongst towering trees providing a leafy outlook from most vista points, our Care Community has many peaceful areas inside and out. Our memory care neighbourhood provides a safe and inclusive environment for residents who are living with dementia.

About the role

$***** - $***** (Dependant on experience and qualifications) plus 12% superannuation.

Permanent Full-Time opportunity

Monday to Friday

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks across buildings, equipment, gardens, grounds and shared spaces. You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the care community by responding promptly to maintenance requests, completing minor repairs, coordinating contractors when required and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs.
n
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, respectful manner.
n
Complete preventative maintenance checks and maintain accurate records.
n
Support compliance with workplace health and safety, fire safety and aged care quality requirements.
n
Monitor the condition of buildings, fittings, escalating issues where required.
n
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
n
Maintain clean, safe and attractive indoor and outdoor areas for residents and visitors.
n
Build positive working relationships with residents, families, staff and contractors.
n

About you
n
n
Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping role (aged care experience a plus).
n
Trade qualification or relevant technical experience will be highly regarded.
n
Experience in aged care, health care, retirement living or a community services setting is desirable.
n
Good practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
n
Strong communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach.
n
Strong knowledge of secure work practices and manual handling requirements.
n
Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance request systems or complete records.
n
Reliability and a strong work ethic.
n
Ability to complete pre-employment medical, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
