About the role
n
We are seeking a Survey Assistant to join our Brisbane Survey team.
n
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in surveying and gain practical, hands-on experience working alongside experienced Surveyors.
n
As a Survey Assistant, you will support our surveyors with field-based surveying activities and general office duties, learning the fundamentals of surveying while contributing to a range of projects.
n
You will have the opportunity to work in a practical, team-focused environment and develop your technical skills through on-the-job experience and training.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Assisting Surveyors with field surveying and set-out activities.
n
Performing basic survey tasks in accordance with your level of experience and Fyfe's quality systems.
n
Assisting with the preparation and organisation of equipment and requirements for upcoming field work.
n
Maintaining survey equipment, vehicles and other company assets in a safe, clean and appropriate condition.
n
Completing survey documentation accurately and clearly.
n
Participating in pre-starts, toolbox talks and team meetings as required.
n




Providing project updates and information to Surveyors and project teams.
n

About you
n
n
A current manual driver's licence.
n
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in surveying, construction or the broader spatial industry.
n
A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
n
The ability to work autonomously when required and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
n
A willingness and ability to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
n
The ability to work away from home for extended periods, where required.
n
