Role Status: Full-time temporary vacancy available until 1 October **** Remuneration: CPW2 ($66,416 - $69,504) plus 12% superannuation Our Port Lincoln office is looking for a Support Worker to join their team and help strengthen connections for children and young people, while providing practical support to help families access the services they need.
Joining the Department for Child Protection as a Support Worker offers you the opportunity to make a difference, working collaboratively with Social Workers and other key stakeholders to support the local community.

In this role, you will: Respond sensitively to client needs and connect them with appropriate services Assist with access supervision and family care plans Support families to engage with relevant community organisations Facilitate activities that support children and young people to build healthy identities Coordinate office systems, facilities and fleet requirements.
About you: You build positive relationships and communicate with care, bringing a collaborative approach to your work with colleagues, families and community services.
You'll be someone who listens, responds thoughtfully and takes pride in providing a quality service.
Working with children and young people can bring complex and challenging situations.
You'll bring a calm and respectful approach, with an understanding of the importance of culturally aware practice and creating a safe setting.
Your knowledge of child development and positive parenting approaches will support you in working with families.
You'll use sound judgement to understand situations, find practical solutions and respond to what is needed.

Essential Qualification: You must have a current Australian driver's licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive.
