Director - Cyber Defence Managed Services

Our client is seeking a Director-level Cyber Defence Managed Services leader, to shape and grow its next generation of cyber operations offering across Australia.
n
This is a senior, market-facing role combining Cyber Defence leadership, SOC operations, managed services strategy and pre-sales. You'll have the opportunity to influence how modern cyber defence services are designed, positioned and delivered, with a strong focus on AI, automation, threat intelligence and outcome-driven security operations.

This is a Sydney based role with hybrid working arrangements.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Own and evolve the Cyber Defence Managed Services strategy and offering across Australia.
n
Lead, run or manage SOC / Cyber Operations environments, with a strong understanding of how effective security services are delivered.
n
Shape modern managed service solutions across SOC, SIEM, SOAR, threat detection, incident response, threat intelligence and automation.
n
Lead pre-sales and solutioning for major opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, proposals, SOWs, pricing and client presentations.
n
Partner with senior clients, account teams and delivery leaders to understand requirements and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
n
Identify opportunities to introduce AI, automation and emerging technologies into cyber operations.
n
Work closely with global teams and technology partners to bring new capabilities and ideas into the local offering.
n
Support opportunities from initial solution design through to transition into delivery.
n
Act as a senior market-facing leader, representing the Cyber Defence capability with clients and industry stakeholders.

What we're looking for
n
n
Senior leadership experience across Cyber Defence, Cyber Operations or Cyber Managed Services.
n
Proven experience leading, running or managing a SOC / security operations function.
n
Solid pre-sales and solutioning experience, including RFPs, proposals, client presentations and commercial discussions.
n
Experience shaping or growing managed security services, cyber operations offerings or service portfolios.
n
Strong understanding of modern SOC technologies including SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, detection and response and automation.
n
Commercially minded, with the ability to turn client challenges and market trends into practical, scalable security solutions.
n
Strong executive-level communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
n
Comfortable operating across both strategy and hands-on solution development.
n
