Casual Operations Assistant - Maintenance

The Regional Livestock Exchanges (RLX) initiative focuses on developing regionally significant modern livestock facilities within strategic locations, chosen for stock numbers, transport efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Northern Victoria Livestock Exchanges (NVLX) is the largest cattle selling centre in Victoria with recorded throughput in excess of 253,000 head of cattle in ********* and a ten year throughput average in excess of 205,000.

Responsibilities:
n
n
Equipment
Maintenance:Perform
routine maintenance on site assets including equipment, machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
n
Facility Repairs:Address and resolve infrastructure and mechanical issues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for livestock.
n
Preventative
Maintenance:Implement
preventative measures to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of plant and equipment and facility infrastructure.
n
n
Job Requirements:
n
n
Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance.
n
Light fabrication and welding experience.
n
Knowledge of plant and equipment such as loaders, tractors, feed mixers
n
Knowledge of pumps and livestock watering systems.
n
Previous experience operating a skid steer and telehandler.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
n
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
n
Willingness to work in a agile, challenging and rewarding environment.
