We are seeking an experienced Bus Body Repairer / Panel Beater for our After Sales Centre located in Ingleburn NSW.
Previous experience in heavy vehicle smash repairs, manufacturing, servicing and accident repair is required.
The ideal applicant will have the opportunity to work out of state-of-the-art modern facilities for a nationwide company with multinational ties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Bolting, screwing, riveting and welding sections together to form complete frameworks Cutting and shaping panels of sheet metal, aluminium and reinforced plastic and attaching to frameworks using hand and power tools Modifying assembly line vehicles to special requirements Preparing new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and removing old coverings and fittings from vehicles and taking new measurements Selecting and cutting pieces of fabric, vinyl and leather and sewing pieces together using heavy-duty sewing machines Installing internal trim in vehicles such as lining, floor coverings and armrests Attaching door trims, rubber seals,
locks and handles Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Use tools to make or repair parts and products Framing and fitting hardware based on different on specifications Keep a clean and tidy workspace Identify and defective items and handle according to established procedures Follow all relevant safety guidelines and procedures Read and interpret drawings and written instructions COMPETENCIES: Previous exposure and experience in a vehicle manufacturing/service environment will be highly regarded.
This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test Applicants must have the right to work and live in Australia.
