About the Role
n
Reporting to the General Manager - Community Regional Services Access and Engagement, you will provide operational leadership and oversight across a range of Community and Family programs, ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant and responsive to community needs.
n
You'll work closely with frontline teams, stakeholders and community partners to coordinate service delivery, support complex client outcomes and ensure contractual and program requirements are met.
n
n
Lead and coordinate the daily operation of Community and Family programs.
n
Support teams delivering homelessness, crisis accommodation, family support, youth support and emergency relief services.
n
Provide leadership, supervision, coaching and development to staff.
n
Oversee client-centred case management practices and service planning.
n
Build and maintain strong partnerships with government and community stakeholders.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, funding requirements, policies and quality frameworks.
n
Monitor program performance, reporting and data quality.
n
Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous service improvement.
n
Participate in a paid on-call roster.
n

About You
n
You are a collaborative and values-driven leader with experience supporting vulnerable communities. You combine strong operational capability with a genuine commitment to client outcomes and team success.
n
Essential Experience & Qualifications
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Human Services, Leadership or a related discipline, with substantial relevant experience.
n
Experience within youth, family, homelessness, housing or community services sectors.
n
Sound understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
n
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
n
Eligible to obtain a Queensland Application for Suitability Check.
n
Current Open C Class Driver Licence.
n
Ability to participate in a four-week rotating on-call roster.
n
n
Selection Criteria
n
n
Experience in social housing and/or crisis accommodation programs, including knowledge of relevant legislation and practice frameworks.
n
Knowledge of issues affecting children, young people and families, particularly those involved with child protection systems.
n
Experience applying client-centred case management principles in complex environments.
n
Understanding of homelessness and the barriers people face in achieving stability, safety and independence.
n
Knowledge of community-based service delivery models and relevant practice frameworks.
n
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and program requirements.
n
Strong leadership capability and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
n
Highly developed interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
n
Strong written communication and reporting skills.
n
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills or the ability to quickly acquire them.
