About the role:
n
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse with experience in Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) to join our clinical team on a casual or part time basis. Great work life balance - Monday to Friday - no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, no on-call
n
Duties and responsibilities:
n
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
n
Deliver evidence-based care: Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
n
Prepare for safe surgery: Ensure the facility, equipment and clinical environment are ready to support safe, efficient surgical care.
n
Prioritise and monitor patient safety: Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress, respond promptly to changes or complications, and keep patient safety central to all decisions.
n
Support recovery at home: Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.
n
Guide and support colleagues: fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.
n
n
Champion improvement: Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital.
n
n




About You:
n
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
n
n
Experience in Pre-op/ DOSA in a surgical hospital setting
n
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled nurse
n
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff an d other stakeholders
n
Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
n
Experience in a quick-paced day/ short stay hospital environment desirable
n
n
