IVECO is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand & Quality Controller to join our busy Wacol Service Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of trucks and heavy vehicles who enjoys problem-solving, quality control, road testing, and leading by example.

About the role:
n
Working closely with the Workshop Foreman and Service Management team, you will play a key role in ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
n
This is a diverse position combining:
n
n
Road testing and quality inspections
n
Workshop coordination and job allocation
n
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
n
Supporting technicians and apprentices
n
Liaising with Service Advisors and customers
n
Driving workshop productivity and efficiency
n
Promoting a strong safety culture
n
n
Role responsibilities:
n
n
Road test trucks and identify faults or quality concerns
n
Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle handover
n
Support daily workshop workflow and technician productivity
n
Ensure repair orders and workshop documentation are completed accurately
n
Assist with technical diagnostics and problem-solving
n
Maintain high standards of workshop safety and housekeeping
n
Work closely with Service Advisors to deliver an outstanding customer experience
n




Lead by example and provide guidance to the workshop team
n
n
Candidate requirements:
n
n
HR Licence (essential)
n
Previous experience driving heavy vehicles or working in the transport industry
n
Strong understanding of truck operation and vehicle systems
n
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify defects or workmanship issues
n
Well-organised with basic computer skills
n
Ability to work closely with a team and support others
n
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
Previous workshop, fleet, transport, dealership or heavy vehicle experience highly regarded
n
