ABOUT THE ROLE
n
At Vital Home Health Services, our Support Workers provide high-quality care and support to clients, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities.
n
We currently have a position available for experienced Care Workers to join our effective and highly energetic team.
n
A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assisting the clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance.
n
Providing transportation and support for medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
n
Providing domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
n
Building and maintaining strong, respectful and effective relationships with clients and their families
n
Supporting clients to participate in their community and maintain their independence
n
Reporting any concerns,



incidents or changes in a client's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols
n
n
A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
n
All applicants must have:
n
n
Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Smart Phone with Email access
n
Current National Police Record Check
n
Current Working with Children Check
n
n
n
Previous experience in aged care, disability, community care or a similar support role is highly desirable
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
A caring, respectful and client-focused approach
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
