About Solace Electrical

Solace Electrical is a Gold Coast-based electrical contracting business specialising in retail and commercial fitouts.
n
We work directly with national contractors, delivering shops, medical clinics, hospitality venues and commercial refurbishments across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.
n
If you've been through Pacific Fair, Robina, Carindale, Chermside, Sunshine Plaza or Kawana recently, there's a good chance you've walked past some of our work.

We're a small business, so the people we employ matter. We're looking for a qualified electrician who takes pride in their work, can work independently and is someone we can rely on onsite.

The role
n
You will deliver diverse and challenging projects with exciting commercial and retail fitouts, alongside a variety of other electrical tasks. We generally service the Gold Coast and Brisbane, with occasional travel throughout Queensland and Northern NSW.

We're looking for someone who:
n
Takes pride in doing a clean, professional job

Can work independently and manage their own work

Can confidently read construction drawings and electrical schedules
n
Is comfortable working alongside and directing apprentices
n
Is willing to share knowledge and help apprentices close knowledge gaps
n




Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Can complete own testing, certification and handover
n
The type of work
n
New tenancy fit outs — full rough-in and fit-off, lighting, power, data and comms, containment, exit and emergency lighting, shopfront and signage supply
n
Defits, strip-outs and make protected
n
Switchboard work — DB installations, alterations and upgrades, mains and submains
n
Specialised installations — including body-protected areas (AS/NZS ****) in medical and skin clinic tenancies
n
Hospitality and licensed venues — including tavern and hotel refurbishments, often while venues remain operational
n
Testing and handover
n
Most work is around Gold Coast and Brisbane, with regular travel around Queensland and northern NSW. Overtime is available when required, with travel, overtime and penalty rates paid in accordance with the award.

What you need
n
Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence — unrestricted
n
White Card
n
Current CPR and LVR
n
Previous experience in commercial or retail fit outs is highly regarded but not essential
n
What we offer

$45 - $55 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience

Fully maintained work vehicle

Overtime, penalties and travel paid in accordance with the award
n
Consistent work with an established electrical contractor
