The Role
n
The Risk & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the school operates safely, compliantly and in line with best-practice governance standards.
n
The role provides both strategic advice and day-to-day operational management of the School's compliance, risk, policy, governance, and occupational health and safety (OHS) frameworks.

Manage the School's compliance framework, including VRQA obligations.
n
Monitor regulatory changes and maintain compliant policies, procedures, and documentation.
n
Coordinate policy reviews, compliance reporting, audits, and registers.
n
Escalate key compliance issues to senior leadership.
n
Deliver compliance training and maintain staff training records.
n
Promote a continuous improvement of the School's work health & safety culture.
n




Manage the School's risk management framework.
n
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, regulatory, and emerging risks.
n
Manage risk assessments and incidents reporting for school activities and programs.
n
Develop risk management controls and reporting framework with stakeholders.
n
Prepare risk reports for leadership, committees, and the Board.
n
Maintain risk management plans and promote best-practice risk management across the School and sector.

About You
n
n
Risk & compliance or OHS practitioner with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the Education sector.
n
Must hold, or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check.
n
Hold and maintain current First Aid qualifications (HLTAID009, HLTAIDO11 or equivalent).
n
Willingness to acquire Anaphylaxis & Child Safety trainings.
