Electrical Commissioning Technician - LV Switchgear | Data Centres & Major Infrastructure
n Permanent Full Time | Site Based
n
Calling experienced Electrical Technicians, Commissioning Technicians and Electricians who know their way around LV switchgear and want to step into more specialised technical work.
n
This is an opportunity to work across major Data Centre and industrial projects, commissioning and testing large-scale LV switchboards.
n
You'll get hands-on with complex switchgear, protection devices and control systems, taking equipment through testing, commissioning and customer handover while developing deeper expertise across critical power infrastructure.

Major Data Centre Projects -Work across large scale Data Centre and industrial projects delivering critical LV infrastructure.

Specialist Electrical Equipment -Commission and test LV switchboards, ACBs, MCCBs, protection devices and control systems.

Build Specialist Skills -Develop across primary and secondary injection testing, flash testing, protection, fault finding and commissioning.

Full Commissioning Exposure -Get involved from FAT/SAT and site testing through to defect close out and customer handover.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Commission, test and hand over large-scale LV switchgear, including primary and secondary injection testing, flash testing, FAT and SAT.
n
Diagnose faults, complete repairs and preventative maintenance across switchboards, ACBs, MCCBs, protection devices and control systems.
n
Work with customers, subcontractors, Project Managers and Engineers to resolve defects, maintain documentation and deliver projects safely and on schedule.
n

What Will Make You Successful
n
n
Unrestricted Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver Licence, with a strong understanding of electrical safety, safe isolation and LOTO procedures.
n
Hands-on experience testing and fault finding LV switchboards and protection devices, including primary and secondary injection testing and flash testing.
n
Comfortable reading electrical drawings, working with control systems and delivering site-based commissioning, ideally including customer FAT and SAT activities.
n
n
