About the Role
n
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Hospitality and Facilities Assistantto join our team on a casual basis at the Mary MacKillop Precinct.
n
This role is ideal for someone with a strongfront-of-house hospitality backgroundwho enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences in a unique environment that blendsconference and event services with a museum and heritage setting.
n
You'll support operations across our conference facilities and museum spaces, ensuring a welcoming, professional and seamless visitor experience.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Deliver high-qualityfront-of-house service, welcoming guests,



program participants and visitors
n
Assist withevent and function delivery, including room setup, catering coordination and pack-down
n
Providefood and beverage service, including preparation, presentation and kitchen support
n
Maintain high standards ofcleanliness, presentation and food safety compliance
n
Supportconference and meeting operations, including basic AV/technology setup
n
Manage and processbooking enquiries and reservations
n
Use and maintain booking systems (includingRMS or similar platforms such as Opera)
n
Liaise with guests and event organisers to ensure smooth bookings and service delivery
n
Assist with stock control, ordering and general facilities upkeep
n
About You
n
We're looking for candidates who bring energy, professionalism and excellent organisational skills. You will ideally demonstrate:
n
Strongfood & beverage experience, including service and basic food preparation
n
Experience
usingbooking/property
management systems(RMS, Opera or equivalent)
n
Proven experience infront-of-house hospitality roles(hotel, venue, events or similar)
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills
n




A hands‐on approach with the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
n
Food Safety / Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
n
Experience in conference, events or cultural/museum environments
n
Basic administration and Microsoft Office skills
n
