We have Multiple (12-Month Contract - Extend) Lead Data Centre Engineer / AI Installation Supervisor roles available in Melbourne.
n
Please Note: These roles will require frequent Travel to Sydney DC Sites.
n
You will manage and coordinate Data Centre sites, Supervising field staff and subcontractors. You will lead Rack-and-stack, structured cabling, liquid/air cooling and power management installation Vendors / Subcontractors. Hardware Delivery focus.
n
This is a rare opportunity to play a lead role in the delivery of a large-scale GPU and High-Performance Compute (HPC) environment, supporting the deployment of an 8K cluster across multiple Data Centre sites.
n
The program includes the installation and commissioning of over 100 GPU racks, large-scale structured cabling activities, power provisioning, rack deployments, and advanced air and liquid cooling infrastructure.
n
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior & Lead Data Centre Engineers / Managers with strong experience in racking & stacking Data Centres.
n
You will require experience Managing Cabling / Rack Installation / Device Installation vendors / subcontractors to Deliver.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Leading large-scale rack and stack activities across multiple Data Centre sites
n
Coordinating server unboxing, asset staging, rack installation, and commissioning activities
n
Managing rack elevation alignment, hardware placement, and deployment standards
n
Overseeing structured cabling programs including copper and fibre installation, routing, labelling, and quality assurance
n
Supporting GPU infrastructure deployments and high-density compute environments
n
Coordinating power provisioning activities and working closely with facilities and infrastructure teams
n
Supporting air-cooled and liquid-cooled infrastructure deployments
n
Managing vendors, subcontractors, and deployment teams
n
Driving project timelines and ensuring delivery milestones are achieved
n
Maintaining deployment documentation, asset records, and implementation standards
n
Troubleshooting installation and infrastructure issues during deployment phases
n
Ensuring adherence to site safety, operational, and compliance requirements
n

Experience Required:
n
n
Data Centre Installation experience
n
Experience in Managing Cabling Vendors / Subcontractors to Deliver
n
Ability to co-ordinate Multiple Vendors on Data Centre Sites
n
Hands-on Data Centre Infrastructure leader or Engineer
n
Robust experience in Racking & Stacking Data Centres
n
Deep knowledge of Rack-and-stack and structured cabling procedures
n
Data Centre Hardware Delivery Experience
n
Knowledge of Liquid/Air Cooling and Power Management
n
Experience delivering Data Centre upgrades, expansions, or greenfield deployments
n
Strong understanding of Data Centre cabling standards and fibre infrastructure
n
Experience working with high-density compute, HPC, GPU, or hyperscale environments (ideal)
n
Experience coordinating multiple workstreams across several Data Centre sites
n
Strong vendor, stakeholder, and contractor management skills
n
Ability to work in high-pressure environments with aggressive delivery timelines
n
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
