Job Description

Work alongside business SMEs and Technical Business Analysts to develop Power BI reports and develop automated data acquisition / preparation processes using Alteryx, in accordance with agreed requirements
n
Work with the Technical Delivery Lead and Solutions Architect to ensure deliverables conform to architectural, technical, security and data access standards
n
Unit testing components to ensure deliverables meet acceptable quality metrics
n
Pro-actively identify and manage data risk, ensuring risks are understood by related parties and developing risk mitigants
n
Full development life cycle; from development through to deployment of deliverables to Production environments
n

Skills and Experience Required
n
n
Experience with automated data acquisition, preparation and blending using Alteryx
n
Experience with other automation technologies such as PowerShell is an advantage
n
Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases, data warehouses
n
Demonstrable experience and techniques working to source and join large and disparate data sets from upstream systems
n
Performance tuning data acquisition and data preparation queries to ensure execution times are optimal and acceptable
n
Positive understanding of data architecture principles, including data access patterns and data modelling
n
Previous experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services organisations an advantage
n
Excellent communication and presentation skills
n
A Tertiary degree in IT or similar subject
