The Opportunity

CY Partners are supporting a leading international Life Sciences organisation with the appointment of an experienced Study Director – Bioanalysis.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior bioanalytical scientist with expertise in ligand binding assays (LBA) and immunoassays to join an established organisation supporting pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical drug development programmes.

The Role
n
As Study Director, you will take scientific and operational ownership of multiple GLP bioanalytical studies, with a particular focus on ligand binding assays and immunoassay-based bioanalysis.
n
You will manage studies from initiation through to completion, working closely with clients and internal R&D;, Operations and Quality teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to a high scientific standard and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead GLP bioanalytical studies as Study Director or Principal Investigator.
n
Oversee ligand binding assay and immunoassay validation and analysis.
n
Manage multiple studies, clients and project timelines.
n
Ensure scientific integrity, data quality and GLP/regulatory compliance.
n
Act as a senior scientific contact for clients and external partners.
n
Work closely with R&D; and Operations to support method development,



transfer and validation.
n
Troubleshoot complex bioanalytical, LBA and immunoassay issues.
n
Coordinate analytical activities across multidisciplinary teams.
n
Mentor and support junior scientists and study support personnel.
n
Contribute to SOP development, process improvement and regulatory compliance.
n

About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
A degree in a Life Sciences or a related discipline.
n
Experience in regulated bioanalysis, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or CRO environment.
n
Experience as a Study Director within a regulated environment.
n
Robust experience with ligand binding assays (LBA) and immunoassays, including development, validation and/or sample analysis.
n
Experience with platforms such as ELISA, ECL/MSD or other immunoassay technologies.
n
A strong understanding of GLP and regulated bioanalytical environments.
n
Excellent scientific problem-solving, data interpretation and client-facing communication skills.
n
Experience with LIMS; Watson experience would be advantageous.
n
Previous team leadership, mentoring or management experience is desirable.
