Key Responsibilities
n




The Casual Relief Teacher will provide effective temporary classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Delivering prepared lesson plans and learning activities effectively.
n
Maintaining high standards of student learning, engagement and behaviour.
n
Providing appropriate duty of care and ensuring student safety at all times.
n
Creating a positive, productive and inclusive classroom environment.
n
Adapting to different classroom settings, student needs and school environments.
n
Working collaboratively with school staff and contributing positively to the wider school team.
n
Supporting the mission, vision and values of each school.
n
Undertaking yard duty, supervision and other reasonable duties as required.
n
Following school policies, procedures and expectations while maintaining skilled standards.
n
Supporting continuity of learning and contributing to the school's educational goals on an as-needed basis.
n

Skill & Experience
n
Must hold a recognised teaching degree and current VIT registration. Strong classroom management and communication skills required. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
