Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Driver / Yard Hand to join a busy timber and landscape supplies yard in Rouse Hill.

This is a hands-on, hybrid role combining Forklift operation, timber preparation and general yard duties. The successful candidate will not be operating a Forklift for the entire shift and must be comfortable regularly getting on and off the forklift to assist with timber orders, machinery and general yard tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Operating a Forklift safely and efficiently
n
Picking and preparing customer timber orders
n
Cutting timber to required lengths and sizes
n
Drilling holes into timber posts using machinery
n
Operating machinery and general hand tools
n
Handling timber products and related landscape materials
n
Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles
n
Sorting and organising timber orders
n
Assisting customers with loading their orders
n
General yard and labouring duties as required
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n
Working closely with the team to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently
n

About the Role
n
The role is primarily focused on preparing and handling timber orders, including cutting timber, drilling posts and assisting with customer orders.
n




Previous experience in the timber, building, landscaping or landscape supplies industry is highly desirable. Experience using hand tools, machinery or working in a timber yard will be highly regarded.
n
You will need to be comfortable with physical work, manual handling and working as part of a busy team.
n
To Be Successful You Will Have
n
n
Current Forklift Licence (LF) highly regarded but not essential
n
Previous Forklift and warehouse/yard experience
n
Timber industry or timber yard experience highly regarded
n
Experience using hand tools and/or machinery
n
Ability to safely perform manual handling and physical work
n
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
n
Positive attitude and willingness to get hands-on
n
Strong teamwork and communication skills
n
Good attention to detail when preparing customer orders
n
Safety-conscious approach to all tasks
n
