How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
n
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.

Lead the design and analysis of the fluid and mechanical aspects of Propulsion Ground Support Equipment (GSE) including launch fluid systems, propulsion test stands and supporting infrastructure
n
Define requirements and development plans for new development and upgrades to Propulsion GSE
n
Lead and support commissioning of GSE.
n
Develop written procedures and checklists for performing test & commissioning operations, and support test teams as required.
n
Fault find and perform rectification of GSE
n
Coordinate the fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion GSE
n
Support the design and testing of propulsion systems
n
Support launch preparations and launch operations, as needed
n
Communicate with head of propulsion,



program managers and team members throughout the company to develop good working relationships and ensure daily operational requirements are met.
n
Provide senior influence, technical guidance and support the development and work allocation of the junior team in liaison with head of propulsion
n
Perform other duties as requested by Management
n
n
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
n
n
Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
n
7+ years of experience in propulsion or mechanical, fluid system design and analysis in a professional setting (excluding internships)
n
7+ years' experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies (NX/Teamcenter preferred, but other relevant experience is valuable), or
n
Experience with at least one commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)
n
3+ years' hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and testing.
n
Design and build of fluids systems for gases and/or fuel and oxidizers at room temperature and cryogenic temperatures.
n
NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
n
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
n
n
Desired Qualifications,Skills and Experience:
n
n
Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and delivering commissioned projects within tight schedule and budget constraints
n
Experience designing to Australian Standards for high-pressure fluid systems.
n
Experience using diagnostic tools, data analysis and inspection methods to identify failures and maintenance issues on machinery
n
n
