We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our busy showroom. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys sales, design, customer service and supporting a team to deliver an excellent showroom experience.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help oversee day-to-day store operations, support the sales team, assist customers with selections, maintain showroom presentation and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help oversee day-to-day store operations, support the sales team, assist customers with selections, maintain showroom presentation and contribute to achieving sales targets.

What you will be doing
n

Assist the Store Manager with daily showroom operations, team support and sales performance.
n
Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to retail customers, builders, renovators, designers and trades.
n
Help customers with their selections to suit their project, budget and style.
n
Prepare quotes, process orders, follow up enquiries and maintain strong customer relationships.
n
Support stock control, merchandising, product displays and showroom presentation.
n
Lead by example on the showroom floor and help coach team members to deliver great service.
n
Assist with rostering, task allocation,



sales reporting and general store administration.
n
Promote a safe, organised and positive workplace for customers and the team.
n
n
What we are looking for
n
n
Previous retail, showroom, building products, flooring, natural stone, tiles, bathroom ware or interiors experience is highly regarded.
n
Experience leading, supervising or mentoring a small team.
n
Robust customer service and sales skills with a genuine focus on helping customers.
n
Confident communication skills and the ability to build rapport with different customer types.
n
Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes, orders and customer follow-ups.
n
Organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
n
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn products, trends and installation basics.
n
Availability to work retail trading hours, including Saturdays.
