The Role

A rare chance has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Charities and Purpose Driven Institutions team based in Melbourne. As a Legal Assistant you will work closely with a Partner and team.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
Billing - prepare, amending and finalising draft bills;
n
File Administration - saving documents in accordance with file saving and naming protocols;
n
Diary management and workprioritisation;
n
Travel management - booking flights and accommodation;
n
Conducting searches;
n
Liaising with clients;
n
General administrative support to the team;
n
n
Who We Are Looking For
n
The Legal Assistant is responsible for the provision of diligent and efficient secretarial and administrative support,



to alleviate the time-pressures on legal practitioners as far as possible.
n
As a Legal Assistant, you will have:
n
n
good attention to detail, particularly in documents;
n
possess a personal commitment to excellence, including attention to detail;
n
be dependable and diligent;
n
be proactive in liaising with other people (internal and external) where necessary to solve problems and complete tasks;
n
manage their to-do list effectively and work with minimal supervision.
n
n
In addition, the legal assistant will provide support to other team members with the aim of enhancing the performance, profit results and sustainability of their practice area.
