With continued growth in our Queensland operations, we are seeking an experienced Production Manager to assist in leading our manufacturing team and driving operational excellence.

Job Summary
n
Assist in leading our Queensland production team through an exciting period of growth, ensuring safe, productive and high-quality manufacturing while delivering projects on time and building the operational foundations for continued expansion.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production facility — manufacturing, scheduling, quality, inventory, safety and team performance.
n
You will work closely with project administration, design, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure production targets are achieved and quality standards are maintained.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Lead, supervise and develop the production team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
n
Plan and coordinate manufacturing schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.
n
Monitor workflow, production output and resource allocation to maximise efficiency.
n
Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve operational performance
n
Manage inventory levels and coordinate material availability with procurement and warehouse teams.
n




Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
n
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, company policies and quality procedures.
n
Prepare production reports, monitor KPIs and provide regular updates to the Operations Manager.
n
Support the development of production systems, processes and team structure
n
Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
Previous experience in a Production Manager or Operations Manager role within a manufacturing environment.
n
Experience in a steel frame and truss manufacturing operation is highly preferred. Candidates with a background in timber frame and truss manufacturing will also be strongly considered.
n
Strong leadership and people management skills
n
Experience managing production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
n
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
n
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
n
Strong organisational and communication skills.
n
