We are seeking a driven and ambitious Junior Solicitor to join the legal team at Victim First Legal, dedicated to supporting victims of crime. In this full-time role based in Thornbury, VIC, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality legal assistance and representation to vulnerable clients.

What you'll be doing
n
Providing legal advice and representation for clients making applications to the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
n
Preparing legal submissions and assisting with case preparation
n
Collaborating with other members of the legal team and social services to ensure a holistic approach to client support
n
Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law
n
What we're looking for

A law degree and admission to practice as a solicitor in Victoria
n
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients
n

Remuneration
n
The position offers a salary of $70,000–$73,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with the successful candidate's level of experience.
n
In addition to salary and superannuation, the firm will cover the cost of the successful candidate's annual practising certificate and required Continuing Career development (CPD).
n
Please note that the position will require initial full time office attendance with the ability to progress to flexible working arrangements
