We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Hardware IT Trainee to join our Production team. This traineeship is an excellent prospect to gain practical, hands-on experience working with computers and IT equipment while completing a nationally recognised Certificate in Information Technology.
n
You'll gain real-world experience in hardware testing, diagnostics, refurbishment, repairs, Windows imaging, data sanitisation and device preparation, while receiving ongoing training and mentoring from an experienced ICT team.
n
Please note: This is an entry-level traineeship position. Applicants who already hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology (or a related field) may not be eligible under traineeship requirements.

About the Role
n
As a Hardware IT Trainee in Production, you will work with a range of IT assets, including:
n
n
Laptops
n
Desktop computers
n
Tablets
n
Mobile devices
n
n
Your role may include:
n
n
Inspecting, testing and grading IT hardware
n
Diagnosing hardware faults and functionality issuesTesting CPU, RAM, storage, batteries and other components
n
Testing keyboards, screens, webcams, speakers and ports
n
Securely erasing data using skilled software such as Blancco
n
Cleaning and cosmetically restoring devices
n
Assisting with hardware repairs and component replacement
n
Performing RAM and storage upgrades
n
Creating and deploying standard Windows images
n
Installing and configuring Windows, drivers and software
n
Performing Windows testing and software activation
n




Completing final quality assurance checks
n
Creating and printing asset labels using Smart Freight
n
Scanning and organising IT assets
n
Maintaining a clean and organised production environment
n
Working efficiently while meeting established production processes and SLAs
n
