Salary: Up to $90,000 + Super
n Location: Wetherill Park
n Employment: Permanent Full-Time
n Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday to Friday

The Company
n
My client is an established construction contracting business specialising in infrastructure and surface solutions across commercial and civil construction.
n
The Role
n
My client is seeking a hands-on Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad role covering accounts payable, payroll, subcontractor administration, project accounting, accounts receivable and general finance support.
n You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Managing Director, Project Managers, Contracts Administrators and Project Coordinators to ensure financial and project-related processes are accurate and completed on time.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage daily accounts payable processing, including entering AP vouchers.
n
Process and reconcile company credit card transactions, including intercompany transactions.
n
Manage subcontractor onboarding, ensuring required documentation, insurances and approvals are in place before invoices are processed.
n
Assist with weekly payroll for site and EBA employees across multiple states.
n
Assist with monthly stocktake, investigate variances and maintain accurate stock records.
n
Assist with project accounting, including job adjustments, cost movements, retentions and weekly project reporting.
n
Manage NSW accounts receivable enquiries and overdue debtors.
n
Complete month-end supplier statement reconciliations and assist with General Ledger reconciliations.

About You
n
The successful candidate will be a practical and detail-oriented Accountant who is comfortable working across multiple areas of a busy finance function.
n
n
Previous accounting experience, preferably within construction, contracting, infrastructure or a similar industry.
n
Experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
n
Payroll experience, with end-to-end payroll highly preferred.
n
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
n
The ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
n
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
n
MYOB experience is highly desirable.
n
Experience with Workbench, Xtracta, Upvise or construction-related systems would be advantageous.
n

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant looking for a broad, hands-on position with exposure to the operational and financial side of an established construction contracting business.
n You will work closely with senior management and have the prospect to take ownership across multiple areas of the finance function.
n
