Brisbane | Senior Commercial Leadership | Renewable Energy EPC

We are partnering with a leading EPC contractor delivering the Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) package on a major wind farm project in Queensland.
n
They are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join the senior project leadership team and take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance of the package.
n
The EBoP scope includes the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of major electrical infrastructure, including:
n
n
High-voltage substations and switchyards
n
Underground electrical reticulation
n
Protection, control, SCADA and communications systems
n
Grid connection and network interfaces
n
Wind turbine electrical interfaces
n
Associated electrical infrastructure
n
Testing, commissioning and energisation
n
n
This is a complex lump-sum EPC workplace, with multiple contractors, OEMs and delivery interfaces.

The Role
n
Working closely with the GM Commercial and Project Manager/Project Director this person will:
n
n
Lead upstream and downstream commercial and contract management
n
Manage claims, variations,



EOTs and contractual notices
n
Lead commercial management of major subcontractors and suppliers
n
Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk
n
Maintain oversight of forecasting and overall commercial performance
n
Protect project margin within a lump-sum EPC environment
n
Support major procurement and subcontract negotiations
n
Lead commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
n
Provide senior commercial advice across the project leadership team
n

About You
n
n
We're looking for an established Commercial Manager with experience delivering major EPC, energy or infrastructure projects.
n
Strong experience across lump-sum contracts, head contracts, major subcontracts, claims, variations, EOTs and commercial risk will be important.
n
Experience within renewables, transmission, substations or utilities would be highly regarded, although strong Tier 1 infrastructure backgrounds are equally relevant.
n
n
The position will be predominantly Brisbane based, with travel to the project site as required.
