Queensland | Major Wind Project | Electrical EPC

We are partnering with a leading EPC contractor delivering the Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) package on a major wind farm project in Queensland.
n
They are looking to appoint an experienced HSE Manager to join the project during its early stages and lead health and safety through mobilisation and into full construction delivery.
n
The EBoP scope encompasses a significant programme of electrical infrastructure, including:
n

High-voltage substations and switchyards
n
Underground electrical reticulation
n
Protection, control and communications systems
n
Grid and wind turbine interfaces
n
Associated electrical infrastructure
n
Testing, commissioning and energisation
n
n
With multiple contractors, workfronts and interfaces, this will be a complex construction environment requiring an HSE leader who can establish the function early and then lead it through delivery.

The Role
n
n
Establish and implement the project HSE management framework
n
Develop project HSE plans, systems and procedures
n
Lead HSE through mobilisation and construction readiness
n
Manage contractor and subcontractor HSE performance
n




Lead risk management, assurance, auditing and field compliance
n
Lead incident management and investigations
n
Ensure compliance with legislative, client and project requirements
n
Provide HSE leadership across multiple construction workfronts
n
Work closely with Project, Construction and Field Services leadership
n
Build and lead the site HSE team as construction ramps up
n

About You
n
n
We're looking for an experienced HSE/HSEQ Manager who has led safety on major construction projects, ideally within an EPC or principal contractor setting.
n
Experience across renewables, transmission, substations, utilities or other major infrastructure projects would be highly regarded.
n
You'll need to be comfortable operating at both a senior project leadership and site level – establishing the strategy and systems while remaining close enough to construction to ensure they are actually being implemented.
n
The position will become increasingly site-focused as construction ramps up, with project roster arrangements and site uplift applicable.
