About the Role
n
As a Diesel Fitter with MacKellar, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant to keep our equipment safe, reliable and productive.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Performing machine maintenance, component replacements, overhauls and repairs
n
Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
n




Completing daily refuelling and equipment inspections
n
Carrying out planned maintenance within required timeframes and cost parameters
n
Working effectively across day and night shifts
n
Following procedure-based maintenance systems and site standards
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or LV Fitter/Mechanic
n
Post-trade mining experience
n
Proven experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in a workshop workplace
n
Current Queensland Driver Licence
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
n
A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
