Mint Labour is seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner to join a busy production workshop based in Berrinba.
n
This is a great opportunity for a qualified tradesperson who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and wants to work on trucks, heavy vehicles and transport equipment. You'll be part of an experienced workshop team responsible for building, modifying, maintaining and repairing vehicles to a high standard.

About the Role
n
As a Fitter & Turner, you'll be involved in the mechanical fitting and assembly of trucks and associated components.
n
You'll work closely with production leaders and other trades across the workshop to ensure vehicles are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Mechanical fitting and assembly of truck and vehicle components
n
Installation, removal and replacement of mechanical components
n
Fitting and alignment of mechanical components
n
Working with bearings, shafts, brackets, pumps and other mechanical components
n
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and measurements
n
Measuring, cutting, drilling and modifying components as required
n
Welding and fabrication as required
n




Identifying mechanical issues and assisting with repairs
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
n
What We're Looking For
n
You will have:
n
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent (or relevant experience)
n
Previous experience as a Fitter & Turner
n
Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills
n
Experience working on trucks, heavy vehicles, trailers or transport equipment (highly regarded)
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
n
Reliable and safety-focused attitude
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A valid driver's licence highly regarded
n
