This State Government Entity operates within a complex and highly regulated environment, playing a critical role in the stewardship of significant funds and delivering services that support long-term financial sustainability. The organisation is seeking an experienced finance leader to provide senior-level support during a transition period.

Your new role
n
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will step into a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic financial oversight, governance and assurance across the organisation. The role partners closely with Executive stakeholders and contributes high-level financial advice to support decision-making and organisational sustainability.

Providing strategic financial leadership and advice to Executive stakeholders and governance bodies.
n
Overseeing financial governance, reporting, risk and assurance activities.
n
Supporting financial planning, forecasting and performance monitoring frameworks.
n
Contributing to investment oversight,



funding sustainability and long-term financial stewardship.
n
Leading and supporting finance-related systems, data and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Providing leadership and direction across the finance function.
n

What you need to succeed
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience operating at a senior finance leadership level, ideally within a Government entity, or within a funds/investment focused environment. You will possess strong stakeholder management skills and be comfortable providing advice to Executives, Boards and other senior decision-makers.
