About the role
The
Adjudication Officer
is responsible for assessing and determining the suitability of applicants to hold or continue to hold a firearms or weapons licence, permit or authority.
This includes conducting probity assessments and applying legislation to ensure decisions are made in line with relevant guidelines, policy and legislative requirements.
This position is in Kingscliff, Northern NSW.
The position carries flexible rostering and opportunities for training and career development.
This Talent Pool is being created for future Ongoing or Temporary roles that may arise over the next 18months.
Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18months.There is no guarantee of employment as a result of this Talent Pool.

To be eligible for ongoing roles, you must meet one of the following statuses:
a permanent resident of Australia; or
a New Zealand citizen.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
Total Remuneration Package: Base salary ranges from $87,199 to $95,482 plus employer's contribution to superannuation of 12% and annual leave loading.
