ABOUT THE POSITION
n
Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experiencedMobile Maintenance Planning Superintendentto lead the planning, scheduling and work management function across our mobile equipment fleet.
n
This is a key leadership role responsible for translating approved maintenance strategies and technical requirements into safe, practical and executable maintenance plans. You will oversee long-term and short-term planning, shutdown preparation, work management governance, maintenance systems, reporting and team capability development.
n
Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain and external service providers, you will drive planning discipline, improve schedule readiness and support the safe, reliable and cost-effective performance of our mobile fleet.
n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
Lead and develop the Mobile Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, Technical Writing and Maintenance Specialist functions.
n
Provide governance across the full maintenance work management lifecycle, from planning through to execution and close-out.
n
Develop and maintain integrated12-week, annual and life-of-asset maintenance plans, including major component change-outs, shutdowns and statutory maintenance.
n
Lead long-term maintenance forecasting, resource modelling and identification of long-lead materials and components.
n
Oversee short-term planning to ensure work packages are fully scoped, risk assessed, resourced and ready for execution.
n
Drive schedule readiness, backlog management, schedule compliance and planned-versus-unplanned work performance.
n
Coordinate major shutdown planning and review contractor performance and work quality.
n
Ensure maintenance strategies, task lists, work orders, BOMs, equipment structures and master data are accurate and controlled.
n
Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and cost optimisation across labour, parts, components, tyres and contractors.
n
Analyse maintenance performance and lead improvements in work management maturity, reliability and lifecycle cost.
n
Develop and maintain maintenance dashboards, KPI reporting and performance packs for leadership.
n
Chair work management and performance review meetings, ensuring actions and improvement opportunities are tracked to completion.
n
Build strong relationships with Operations, Engineering, Supply, Warehouse, HSE, OEMs, contractors and other key stakeholders.
n
Lead capability development, mentoring and succession planning within the planning function.
n
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance planning activities comply with WA WHS requirements and NGF standards.
n
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
5+ years' experience in aMobile Maintenance Superintendent or similar senior maintenance
planning/leadership
rolewithin the mining industry.
n
S26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate(Must-Have)
n
Strong experience with open pit and/or underground mobile equipment maintenance.
n
Broad knowledge of heavy mobile fleet maintenance, planning and work management processes.
n
Demonstrated experience leading maintenance planning teams and working across multiple operational stakeholders.
n
Experience withAMT and/or SAP, with strong understanding of CMMS and maintenance data.
n
Experience in contractor management and contractual administration.
n
Robust understanding of maintenance scheduling, component forecasting, shutdown planning and budget forecasting.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
n
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
n
Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification in heavy plant.
n
Certificate IV in Leadership and Frontline Management is desirable.
n
Current Senior First Aid Certificate is desirable.
