Talent Focus Education is partnering with a well-established early childhood service in regional Queensland to recruit an experienced and passionate Assistant Director.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Educator, Educational Leader or Assistant Director who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career.
n
Working closely with the Centre Director, you will play an significant role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service, supporting educators, children and families while helping drive high-quality educational practice and compliance.
n
The position also provides the opportunity to further develop your leadership, mentoring and business administration skills while contributing to the overall performance of the service.
n
The Package
n
This role comes with an exceptional employment and lifestyle package:

Annual salary of $100,000 – $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience + 12% superannuation
n
Rent-free housing provided, valued at up to $18,200 per annum
n
5 weeks annual leave
n
17.5% annual leave loading
n
15 days personal/sick leave
n
Monthly RDO – 13 per year
n
Relocation assistance available, depending on your current location
n
Permanent, full-time leadership opportunity

Your responsibilities
n
will include supporting the management of the centre in the Director's absence, assisting with rostering, family accounts, waitlists and administration, supporting enrolments and family tours, and helping maintain educator-to-child ratios when required.
n
You will also
n
n
Coach, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality educational programs
n
Help build educator capability and consistency across the service
n
Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and relevant legislation
n
Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan
n
Support positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community
n
Assist with operational systems, administration and continuous improvement
n
Provide leadership and guidance to the team
n
Promote a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture
n
n
A key part of the position is educational leadership, including observing educator practice, providing constructive feedback, mentoring team members and modelling best practice.
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys early childhood education and is ready to take on greater leadership responsibility.
n
You will ideally have
n
n
Diploma-level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
n
Substantial experience as a Senior Educator, Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director or similar
n
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
n
Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework
n
Excellent leadership, mentoring and communication skills
n
Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
n
Confidence supporting and developing educators
n
A positive, proactive and collaborative approach
n
Previous experience managing or supervising a team will be highly regarded.
