Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support a major Data & Digital delivery program within a large Federal Government environment.
n The role will provide technical leadership and oversight across business and technology change initiatives, working closely with Project Managers, architects, developers, operations teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
n You'll help translate architecture into practical, implementable solutions and guide technical delivery across applications, infrastructure and enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and oversight across project and program delivery
n
Lead the design, development and implementation of applications and systems
n
Translate architecture and technical requirements into practical solution approaches
n
Guide teams on architecture, engineering practices and standards
n
Facilitate code reviews, technical problem-solving and developer mentoring
n
Coordinate across developers, operations, architects, vendors and stakeholders
n
Manage technical risks, issues and dependencies
n
Support technical governance, documentation and Go-Live readiness
n
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
n
Support transition from development into operations and ongoing support
n
Strong software development and technical delivery leadership experience
n
Ability to translate architecture into implementable solutions
n
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, CI/CD and DevOps
n
Knowledge of security standards, testing and compliance requirements
n




Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and stakeholders
n
Strong technical documentation and delivery framework experience
n
Understanding of enterprise systems, networking and data architectures
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n

Strong software development and technical delivery leadership experience

Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, CI/CD and DevOps

Highly regarded:

Experience within Federal Government or other large, regulated environments

Broad application architecture experience across on-premises and cloud environments
n
Experience with bespoke and COTS applications
n
DevSecOps tooling such as GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, JMeter, Maven or Selenium
n
Broad exposure to technologies such as Linux, Oracle, Python, Java and C/C++
n
Experience delivering solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards
n
n
This role suits a technically broad Technical Lead who is comfortable operating between architecture, engineering and project delivery rather than specialising in one particular technology.
