About the Role
n
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across a range of hospital settings within Darling Downs Health. You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within busy Emergency Departments, managing diverse patient presentations while supporting positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities




n
n
Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across all patient acuity levels
n
Perform triage assessments in accordance with the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS)
n
Recognise and respond effectively to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies
n
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a fast-paced ED environment
n
Administer medications and emergency interventions within scope of practice
n
Collaborate with medical officers, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
n
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
n
Support patient flow, escalation processes, and safe discharge planning
n
Promote patient safety and quality standards within emergency services
n
Provide support across acute care areas where required
n

What you'll need
n
n
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
n
Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department nursing experience
n
Current ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification
n
Demonstrated triage experience and competency using the Australasian Triage Scale
n
Ability to recognise and manage deteriorating patients in acute settings
n
Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary emergency teams
n
Australian working rights (non-sponsorship position due to contract timeframe)
