They are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their team in Sydenham VIC.

The Role
n
The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out residential carpentry works including framing, installation, finishing, and structural construction activities in accordance with project specifications and building requirements.
n
This is a full time position with an annual salary of $80,000 to $83,000 plus superannuation
n
The Responsibilities
n
n
Install fixtures, windows, cabinetry and trims to enhance interior aesthetics and functionality
n
Fit door locksets, deadbolts and hardware according to manufacturer instructions and site requirements
n
Perform framing, finish work and restoration carpentry tasks across residential construction projects
n
Measure, shape and cut materials to specified dimensions using hand tools, machines and power saws
n
Read and interpret plans, measurements and site instructions for carpentry work
n
Construct and install structural frameworks, partitions, floors and roof components in accordance with project specifications
n
Assemble and install timber structures, fittings and prefabricated building materials on residential sites
n
Operate and maintain carpentry tools, woodworking machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently
n
Maintain high standards of workmanship,



cleanliness and workplace safety across all carpentry activities
n

The Requirements
n
n
Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
n
At least 12 months' experience as a Carpenter within residential construction environments
n
At least 12 months' experience performing framing, finishing, and general carpentry installation works on residential projects
n
At least 12 month's carpentry experience with LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) structural components
n
At least 12 month's carpentry experience installing and detailing HCS (Hybrid Cladding Systems), R/S (Roof Sarking), and VCL (Vapour Control Layer) with moisture management and weatherproofing specifications.
n
At least 12 month's experience coordinating carpentry interfaces with engineered substrates including GLT beams, PFC, and commercial-grade acoustic and fire-rated timber systems
n
At least 12 months' experience installing doors, windows, cabinetry, trims, and structural timber components
n
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, carpentry techniques, and building materials
n
Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately to project specifications
n
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and construction compliance standards
n
Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with other trades and site personnel
n
Good communication and problem-solving skills within construction site environments
n
High attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
