About the role
n
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
n
n
Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across AWS, Linux and on-premises environments
n
Own platform architecture for release management, environment promotion, deployment patterns and operational runbooks
n
Improve developer self-service through automation, standardisation and reusable deployment patterns
n
Use platform and deployment metrics to drive continuous improvement and performance uplift
n
Provide technical leadership across the platform function, guiding engineering decisions and architecture direction
n
Balance strategic planning with hands-on implementation
n
Set team objectives, timelines and accountability
n
Manage intake, prioritisation and delivery planning for platform work
n

About You
n
n
Experience leading and developing Platform Engineering or DevOps teams
n
Strong experience designing scalable, resilient platforms and CI/CD pipelines from the ground up
n
Deep knowledge of deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments
n
Full Australian working rights are essential - sponsorship not available
n
Strong technical capability across AWS, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Octopus Deploy or similar tools
n
Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies and platform security practices
n
A proven ability to mentor, develop and lead a high-performing engineering team
n
Exposure to enterprise and SaaS environments, with a track record of scaling solutions
